Anna is a UK & European Patent Attorney with over 20 years experience in private practice, plus experience as in-house patent counsel for a fast-growing University spin-out. She works with a wide range of technology driven companies ensuring their R&D and investment is fully protected, so it can be commercialised to best effect.
Anna’s specialisms include telecommunications systems (4G LTE and 5G fronthaul, optical backhaul, RAN), optical technologies (lasers, optical fibre, quantum key distribution), RFID and software.
With a natural drive to always look for a better way of doing things, Anna is also a proven entrepreneur in the field of IP. She has founded and successfully grown two patent firms before launching Two IP and along the way developed the wider business skills required to build and manage effective teams of attorneys and win a consistent stream of new clients.
Away from the office Anna is the Independent Director of Bowls England where she brings an external point of view, provides independent oversight and holds the Board and its senior management team to account. She is also a keen lawn bowler and plays for the Warwickshire county side.

Career History
Anna joined the patent profession in 1996 as a trainee at a private practice firm in the Midlands. From 2001 -2003, she was the in-house patent attorney at an early stage, venture capital backed company developing optical fibre devices. In 2003, Anna set up her first patent firm, Chapman Molony, with fellow attorney Helga Chapman (Chapman Molony has since been acquired by Murgitroyd & Co). After almost 10 years’ building Chapman Molony, she decided she wanted a better work-life balance, so she sold out of Chapman Molony and set up Ingenium IP.
In 2020, just as the global pandemic hit, Anna decided that it was time to enable other patent attorneys to enjoy the work-life balance she had achieved, so she developed Ingenium IP into Two IP.
She has worked with clients ranging from early stage innovators to growing SMEs, and from academic spin-outs to multinational corporations – including a global aerospace company, a world-leading provider of telecommunications equipment and services, universities and a number of European technology companies.
